Professor Andy Sumner is a leading academic in international development with over 20 years of research experience. He combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to address key issues in global development and inequality.
Renowned for challenging conventional thinking, his research and indicators are widely used internationally. He has published 15 books and more than 100 papers, articles, and book chapters, and continues to advance cross-disciplinary work in Development Studies.
